Revlon Colorstay Nail Polish - Velvet Rope

Red nails stir up mixed feelings in me. Red is a timeless, classic nail polish colour. Everyone has (or wants to have) the perfect red in their nail polish collection. But this also makes it extremely common; and common is not what I go for when it comes to my nails.

Choosing the right shade of red is also trickier than one may think. After years of experimenting, I've realised that blue-toned reds are an absolute no-no for me, and the neutral ones don't do much for me either. Warm-toned reds that lean heavily towards orange, dark vampy reds and bronze-red shimmers flatter me the most.

Today, I'm showing you the red nail paint that I picked up in my birthday haul - Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamel in Velvet Rope (130).

Price: INR 350

Quantity: 11.7 ml

Colour: Velvet Rope is a dark red creme/jelly. I didn't love it on my nails at first, as there's nothing very interesting about the colour. But after I had worn it for a couple of days, it grew on me. It's the kind of shade you can wear all week long without worrying about your nails going with your outfit. So I don't mind having this nail polish in my stash.

Vedic Line Grapefruit and Honey Moisturiser

It looks like the winters are finally (and suddenly!) here in Delhi. Just a couple of days ago, I could suffice with a light sweater over my T-shirt. Now I have piled on layers of clothes and I spend my days shivering under a thick blanket. As long as I have some hot tea/coffee and a good book, there's no way I'm getting out of my bed. I'm so glad I have my winter break right now. I can't imagine having to go all the way to college everyday in this weather.

Now let's get to today's review, on Vedic Line Grapefruit and Honey Moisturizer. I had been using the Grapefruit and Honey Face Wash from Vedic Line for a few months and I loved it. I don't remember repurchasing any other product so many times. I never ended up reviewing it because I always use up most of it before I get to taking photographs for the post. As I was so impressed by the face wash, I wanted to try other products from this brand. So this time when I was ordering another bottle of the face wash, I decided to buy the Grapefruit and Honey Moisturizer as well.

Price: INR 220 for 200 ml

Maybelline Baby Lips - Lychee Addict

My exams are finally over. I have the whole month of December to relax before the assignment-project-exam cycle starts all over again. There are so many reviews and posts pending that I doubt I'll be able to cover all of them in a month, but I have to start somewhere right?

Maybelline came out with two new Baby Lips flavours in India last month: Lychee Addict and Watermelon Smooth. I found out about them in the middle of my exams. Even while I was having Classical Political Philosophy nightmares, I had to hunt these two cuties down! They claim to provide instant hydration, come with SPF 20 and contain twice the amount of centella essense compared to earlier Baby Lips. What on earth is centella essence? I don't know. What I do know is that I've been using Lychee Addict for a couple of weeks now, and I'm not disappointed.

Birthday, Zu Tisch!

*The images on my blog have been disappearing for some reason. I have been trying to resolve this problem but haven't found a solution yet. Please bear with me till I figure this issue out. If any of you have faced this before and can help me out, please send me an email at Thank you!*

Thank you for all your wishes on my previous post. Reading your comments truly made my day! Today, I'll be showing you the outfit I wore on my birthday. The photographs were taken with my phone, so they are not of the best quality. But it seemed like too much of a hassle to carry around a huge camera on my birthday.

This bodycon dress from Forever 21 was a gift from my friend, Srishti, on my 19th birthday last year. I had been saving this dress for a special occasion, and I ended up waiting for one whole year to wear it. But I'm glad I did. This was the perfect dress for my 20th. I really, really love it!

Birthday Haul

It was my birthday yesterday! An upcoming birthday meant that I had the perfect excuse to go crazy shopping last week. I couldn't possibly justify buying any more clothes as half of the things in my wardrobe are still unworn. But that wasn't much of a hurdle in my mission, and I ended up with a sizeable birthday haul nevertheless.

It was a busy week and I did not have the time to go out and shop. So I did all of my shopping online. Some of the things still have to arrive. But I'll show you whatever portion of the haul has made its way to me.
